TRIACS 란

트라이악은 사이리스터의 일종으로 AC 전력의 흐름을 제어할 수 있는 반도체 장치입니다.

트라이액은 게이트, 메인 터미널(MT1) 및 제2 터미널(MT2)로 구성된 3단자 장치입니다.

트라이악의 게이트에 소량의 전류를 가하면 소자가 트리거되어 MT1에서 MT2로 전류가 흐르게 된다.

트라이액은 소자에 전류가 흐르는 동안 온 상태를 유지하다가 전류가 0으로 떨어지면 자동으로 꺼진다.

트라이악은 일반적으로 전구 밝기 조절, 모터 속도 제어 및 난방 시스템의 온도 제어와 같이 AC 전원의 흐름을 제어해야 하는 응용 분야에 사용됩니다.

또한 전원 스위칭 회로 및 솔리드 스테이트 릴레이로도 사용됩니다.

트라이악의 장점 중 하나는 AC 파형의 양수 및 음수 반주기를 모두 처리할 수 있는 능력으로 AC 전력 제어 응용 분야에 사용하기에 이상적입니다.

또한 신뢰성이 높고 작동 수명이 길기 때문에 많은 응용 분야에서 기계식 계전기에 대한 매력적인 대안이 됩니다.
