SURGE 란

전자 부품에서 SURGE란, 전원 회로나 전선 등에서 발생하는 급격한 전압상승을 나타내는 용어입니다.

이러한 SURGE는 전자 부품에 손상을 입힐 수 있으며, 전원 회로나 전선을 보호하기 위해서는 SURGE 보호기가 필요합니다.

SURGE 보호기는 전압이 급격하게 상승할 때, 이를 감지하여 회로를 차단하거나 전압을 안정화시키는 역할을 합니다.

이러한 보호기는 일반적으로 다이오드, VARISTOR(Variable resistor), GDT(Gas Discharge Tube) 등의 기술을 사용하여 구현됩니다.
